The Borders Road Running League was formed in 1983 by a number of new running clubs in North Wales and the western part of Cheshire. Race HQ

Please note: The A41 road between Chester and Waverton will be closed. Please find an alternative route and ALLOW MORE TIME TO GET THERE.

The HQ for this first Borders League race for the 2014/15 season is at “Cheshire View”, Plough Lane, Christleton, Chester CH3 7PT. More information on whereabouts can be found on their website http://www.cheshireview.co.uk/find.html

Facilities at “Cheshire View”

“Cheshire View” has space for approx. 200 cars, please make efforts to car-share to enable all runners to get parked and please follow Car Park Marshals’ instructions.

There are toilets with limited changing facilities in Race HQ and there will be hot drinks and snacks available from 09:30 hrs.

Overspill Car Parking

Overspill parking for approx. 25 cars has kindly been offered by the Landlord at “The Plough” public house (shown on the Cheshire View” map. “The Plough” will be open for meals and drinks after the race if you fancy celebrating your efforts in style.

Christleton Sports Centre, integrated with the High School at CH3 7AS have also kindly offered approx. 50 car parking spaces in their facility. This is approx. 1000m from the Start line and if using this car park, please use the section immediately on the right as you enter the gates.

Race Route

The course is an undulating, approx. 5.75 mile anti-clockwise route shown in detail on the map here . Approximately 5 miles are on road with 750 metres of trail, with some mud and cobbled stones over The Roman Bridges, where care should be taken.
